MOTIGE- is hereby given that it is the intention of the - Gisborne Borough Council, on TUESDAY, 20tli April,. 1909, under the powers conferred upon, it bv virtue of Section 78 of ‘‘The Municipal Corporations Act, 1908,” and Sections Nos. ■ 48 to* 5-5 (both inclusive) of “The Rating Act, 1905,” and all other powers enabling it in that behalf, to make and levy a General Rate of Two Shillings- in the £ on the annual rental value of. all rateable property within the Borough, of Gisborne, for the period from tlie Ist day of April,=-1909, to the 31st March. 1910, such General Rate to be due and. payable in one sum upon, the Ist day of May, 1909. SPECIAL. RATES. WATERWORKS LOAN, £75,000. It is also the' intention of the Council to levy and: collect a Special Rate of. Ninepence Halfpenny in the £ upon the- rateable- value of all rateable property within the-whole Borough of Gisborne, to provide Interest upon the Waterworks Loan of £75,000. ROEBUCK ROAD BRIDGE LOAN OF £5500. It is also the intention of the Council to levy and collect a Special Rate oi Three Farthings in the £ upon the rateable value of all rateable property within the whole Borough of Gisborne, to provide Interest upon a Loan of £5500 for a Bridge at Roebuck Road, across the Taruh-em River.
