THE AUCKLAND HOMICIDE.
A COMMITTAL FOR MANSLAUGHTER. [Per Press Association.] AUCKLAND, April 5. At the inquest on Benjamin Mores, boarding-housekeeper, who died at the hospital from injuries caused by a blow with a bottle, tlie evidence went to showMliat Mores got out of bed to' investigate the disturbance in the house. He charged Joseph Griffiths with having brought a loafer on to the premises, Griffiths seized a large-square bottle and threw it at - Moresy -striking him a violent blow on the head. Griffiths, when asked why he had done this, replied lie was sorry, that he was in a passion. The jury -returned verdict of manslaughter against Griffith:, who is in custody.
