The Basil to chiefs, with their native attendants, who are on a visit to this country in order to see the King anil discuss political matters with the Colon--ial Office, arrived in England from the Cape bv the Kiniauns Castle. were met at Southampton by Mr. H. C. Stoley, C.M.G., the British Commissioner in Basutoland. They have paid, a visit to the Tower of London, displaying a great interest in all they saw, especially in the Crown jewels, armour, old guns, and the large store of weapoijs. As the chiefs are- particularly .intcrested in the textile manufactures,. an effort will be made to give them an opportunity • of"visitingy so in ft / of-, :.t.ie largo.
