FREEZING W'ORKiS SPORTS. The secretary of the Freezing Works sports meeting (Mr. M. Osborne) has forwarded particulars-of the following corrections and omissions in the entries for the various events at the meeting to be held at Waereuga-a-hika on Monday next. , ■- ,

The name of W. Fitzgerald ted from, the Maiden Race and Bouse and Preservers’ Race. In the former event he has been handicapped at 5 yards, and in the latter he is on the scratch mark. The names, of E. Stevens (5 yards) and ,C. Stevens (5 yards) were omitted from the Fellmongers’ Handicap. The name of M;"Brennan (25 yards) in the Fellmongers’ Handicap should read G. Bremner (6 yards). A meeting of the committee was held last night, when the final details in connection with the gathering were a.*ranged. Everything is reported to be well in hand, and nothing but fine weather is needed to ensure a successful gathering. The committee wishes to notify that all the post entry events on the programme are open. NEW YORK MARATHON DERBY. United Press Association —Copyright. NEW YORK, April 4. The Marathon Derby at New York drew 40,000 spectators. Saint Yves, a French runner, won the 5000 dollars’ prize. Dorando won the second prize, of 2500 dollars. Longboat, Shrubb, Hayes, and Mat Maloney also ran.
