SYDNEY, April 6
The Royal Agricultural Show opened in fine weather, and with a big attendance. Nearly all sections , showed an improvement both in numbers and quality of exhibits. Collarit carried off first and champion prizes for thoroughbred stallions. Caffrey and Murphy, New Zealand, secured the bulk of the •awards in the Clydesdale sections. In heavy class stallions they were awarded, first for a. two-year-old with Patrician ; first, under two years, with Evans’ Style; in mares, heavy class; four years, first and champion with Kate ; in the active class, three years, first with Minnehaha. In heavy class mares, two years, John Small took first and Caffrey and Murphy second.
