SPEECH BY MR. DEAKIN. AN AUSTRALIAN LIBERAL PARTY. United Press Association— Coptright (Received April 8, 12.47 a.m.) SYDNEY, April 7. Mr. Deakin addressed a big meeting in the Oddfellows’ Hall. His speech was in criticism of Mr. Fisher’s policy. He blamed Mr. Fisher for not gauging the feeling of the country better and offering a Dreadnought. He reaffirmed hif intention of forming a Liberal party, the chief aims being protection, defence, and immigration.
