Ho was vicar of Hunterville, Wellington diocese, from 1899 to 1903. Thou he returned to England and became headmaster of Denstone College, Staffordshire. After that ho assumed tho duties of second master of the famous Durham School. Prior _to corninn out to New- Zealand originally he was for eighteen years- a master at Hailovburv College.
