AUCKLAND, April 12. The Auckland Racing Club’s meeting concluded to-day. The following are the results of tho racing: Maiden Hurdles.—WeJlcast 1, Eblis 2, Haeremai 3. Also started: Noteorini, Melton Hall, Carlyle, and Pleiades. Won by two lengths. Gore Brown Handicap.—All’s Well 1, Tattoo and Michaeloff (dead heat) 2. Also started: Miss Advance, Urania, and Excamillo. "Won by a head.
Onslow Stakes. —Het Yolk 1, Tukutiiku 2, Impulsive 3. Also started: Fleet Arrow, Maykoff, Lady Doon, Mary Anne, and Etonian. Won bytwo lengths. Autumn Handicap—All Red 1, Downfall 2, Waimangu 3. Also started: Sedition, Ngapuka, Sir Prize, and First Gun. Won by a head. St. Helier’s Hurdle Race.—Ben Jopson 1, Reservoir 2, Paritutu 3. Also started: Cuiragno and Okaihau. Won by three-quarters of a length. Bucldand Handicap.—Santa Rcsa 1, Tamainupo 2, Devonport 3. Also started: Moriarty, Lochbuhie, Maheno, Ing'iis, Wauchope, Artegal, Foremost, Sir Antrim, and Coromandel. Won by a head. ■ Tourist Handicap.—Rarata and lurbin'o (dead heat) 1, Aimwcll 2. Time, lrain 4see. Welter Handicap.—Spate 1, AA aihulcu 2, Delegate 3. Waimaugu was scratched. Won by three-quarters of a length. Time, lmin 4sec. FEILDING RACES. [Per Press Association.] FEILDING, April 13. There was beautiful weather for the second day of the Feuding races, and the track was in fine order. _ Seven bookmakers did business outside and three inside. The totalisator figures for the two days were £22,104, against 51,534 last year. The following are the results of the racing: Denbigh Stakes, SOOsovs, 6 furlongs. —Mon Ami, 9.11, 1; Hermia, 7.9, 2: Tuhi, 6.12, 3. Also started : Tanekaha 8.1, Aberbrothock 7.13, Nicotine 7.4, Debonair© 6.10, and Guiding Step 6.7. Mon Ami and Hermia went to the front at the start, and led all the way. The former won easily by three lengths. Time, lmin 16sec. Awahuri Hack Welter, lOOsovs, 1 1 mile and a distance. —Ciemora, 9.3, 1 ; i Martian, 9.2, 2; Canadian, 7.9, 3. Also started : Mississippi 7.7. Won comfortably 7 by half a length. Time 2min 2 3-5 sea. _ Kimbolton Hurdles, loOsovs, l-J miles. —Maidi. 11.9, 1; Whatakura, 9.9, 2; Rookbv, 10.2, 3. Also started: Master Douglas 11.4, Oryx 10. S, Paparaelu 9.13, and Showman. 9.8. Showman and Paparaehi led for the first mile, when >udi took command, and won by a length. Time, 3min 21 3-ssec. Oroua Hack Hurdles, lOOsovs, U miles.—Whimper 9.13. 1; Rangihaeta, 10.13, 2: Speciosa, 10.13, .3. Also started- Moose 9.13, Prince Hassan 9.3, and Montague 9.0. Speciosa led to the five furlong posts, where Y\ lumper took charge, and won easily by two lengths. Time, 2rain 49 4-sscc. Easter Handicap, SoOsovs, 1:1 miles. Waipaku, 8.7, 1; Golden Gate, 6.8, 2; Fiingot, 7.6, 3. A iso started: Tangimoana 9.0, Mahuta.S.7, Uhlando 8.0, Tangeroa 6.9, and Paione 6.7. Waipahu, Malmta, and Tangimoana led m that order past the stand, and kept the order till near the home turn, where Golden Gate came up to second place. Won easily by a length and a-half. Time. 2min 9sec. Rewa Hack Handicap, lOOsovs, C fa:longs.— Doirisk, 3.7. 1; Nyland, 9.3, o- ginger 3.12,3. The field was bunched all the way. Entering the straight the first- two came away, and after a great tussle. Eclogue won bv half-a-length. Time, lmin 49see. CANTERBURY J.C. MEETING. [Per Press Association.] CHRISTCHURCH, April 13. The Canterbury Jockey Club’s autumn inciting was concluded at Riccarton to-day in dull weather. The course was in capital order, and the attendance was good, considering that- it was not a general holiday. The totalisator investments amounted to £14.785, an increase of £2237 ; while the bookmakers’ fees totalled £384 10s. All the jockeys wore crape as-a mark of respect to the memory of AA . O'Connell, who died this morning as a result of injuries received from a fall in the Kildare Hurdles yesterday. Trotting Handicap.—Merry 1; Roosevelt 2, Seddon’s Terraco 3. Thirteen others started. A protest was entered and adjourned. -on Greenstone Handicap.—Hylveric 8.11, 1; Freeland 9.5, 2; Ruapehu 8.10, 3. Miners’ Purse. —Count Gorton 8.6, 1; Ito 9.0, 2; Wairarapa 8.0, 3. Also started : Adria and The Libyan. Time, 2min 1 3-ssec. ‘ Autumn Trotting Handicap.—Princess Olga 1, Mawliera 2, Garrett 3. The amount put through the totansator for the two days was £4316. MURIWAI MAORI RACES. The Easter meeting of tho Muriwai Maori Racing Club, which was postponed from Monday on acccount oi the rain, will be held to-day. A programme of seven races will be submitted, and there should be some good racing.
