EARTHQUAKE RECORDS.
SEVERE TREMORS RECORDED AT SYDNEY.

Two severe earth tremors have been registered at the Observatory. The firt was on Saturday last, the preliminary movement commencing at 3.30 p.m.. and the second phase five minutes later, followed by long waves at 3.43 p.m. Severer tremors were recorded on Monday, the preliminary phase at 1.9 a.m., lasting for four minutes. The second phase then commenced, lasting six minutes. The largest wave had an amplitude of three millimetres. The tremors dicl not cease till 12.5 G p.nn [These records would seem to indicate a severe earthquake in some other part of the world.]
