Mr. W. Sievwright was reported to be a little better yesterday, after having had a good night’s rest. Mr. T. N. Brodrick, the newly appointed Commissioner for Crown. Lands for the Hawke’s Bay district, does not take his seat upon the LandBoard until August next. Mr. H. Trent will preside at the meeting of the Board to be held in Napier tomorrow, but will retire on May Ist on three months’ leave of absence. A Press Association telegram from. .Napier states that Mr. Thomas Hall, for the last thirteen years DistrictLand Registrar and Registrar of Deedsfor Hawke’s Bay, has been -appointed District Land Registrar. Registrar of Deeds, and Examiner of Titles for the Auckland district, succeeding Mr.. Edwin Bamford, who has been appointed Registrar-General of Lands. Mr. Hall leaved Napier for Auckland in the course of a few days.
