NATIVE LAND SETTLEMENT
MEETING AT HUNTLY

AUCKLAND, April 15. A largo number of Maoris are assembled at Huntly, the object of the meeting being to facilitate the settlement oi unoccupied Native lands under the provisions of the new Act, by which onethird remains in the possession of the Natives, one-third is leased, and onethird is sold. King Mabuta and Henare Kaibau are leaders ox the movement. The Hon. A. T. Ngata and Dr. Buck, M.P., will arrive*to-morrow, and the business of the meeting will not commence till then.
