Reveille sounded at Ormond at 6 ■o’clock yesterday morning, breakfast was on the table at C. 30, and resumption of judging in Class I. of the Sheep Deo- Trials commenced at 7 o’c’ock. The weather was perfect. The frost of Thursday night was succeeded by a perfect day. Tlie sky was cloudless, and though the light was somewhat puzzling in the early morning, the day was beautifully fine and warm, and the conditions under which the day’s pregramme was carried out could not well have been improved upon. Judging in C'V-s I. was continued until noon, by which time the large entry in the class wa S got through, and the judge made his award. The following were the results: —

Class I. —Head, bring back, and hold until judge is satisfied; about half-mile. Time, 15inin. Points: Head 10. being back 10, command 6, liokl 4. Hvdo’s Nellie.—Went to head well in 3min 45scc. Brought back well to ring. A bit slack at ring. 'She scored by her good pulling. Mr. -P. G. L. Mackenzie’s Roy —Vent out free’ and headed in quick time of 2niin 43sec. Pulled sheep in a good line to rimr. Held fair at lingMr IC McDonald’s Dick.—Went out to the left free to head. Went up by the yard, pulled a hit on the top side. Good style at- ring. Very good eye. Mr. G. Hinton’s Skipper.—Slow in going out. Pulled"' sheep to nng well. Very good style at ring. Mr K McDonald’s l! an. —V ent cut free to the left, and made a fair head. Brought back well, and showed good style at ring. . , Mr P. G. L. Mackenzie s Lad.— Went out free, but crossed his head. Brousbt back fairly wed, and held veil at ring. Fair command. . M r Hawkins’ special prize of £1 for dog making fastest head and scoring full points in Class I. was won by Mr. p G. L. Mackenzie's Roy, who headed in the fast time of 2min 43 2-ssec. _. Mr. W. E. Aston’s special prize m £1 Is, for the competitor casting his do" ill best style in Class I. was won by Mr. J. Fevers, who made the only really good east, with bis dog Toss, in the class. , Class 11.— Hunt-away between three .lots of fiagos, about- 400 yards. Time, 12min. Points: Hunt-away 10, stylo 10, noise 4, command 6. . A start was made with this class immediate! v after luncheon. The ground, committee had laid out a new course from that used last year, amTffhe first two competitors. Messrs F; J. Beech a 111 and W. Bonis, failed to.get the sheep, started. The sheep seemed particularly ■stubborn to shift, and broke back to . the yard on being released ' from the sledge. A meeting of the "committee and-it r was decided’ to .alter, the course to that usetl last . year. Twenty-one' dogs were sent out in the class, but the Work on the whole was disappointing, the dogs failin'#- To take command of the sheep- in anything like an efficient manor.
