VESSELS IN PORT. Kabul, s.s. The Huddart-Parker Co.’s Wimmera arrived from south early on Saturday .morning, and sailed again at midday dor Auckland and Sydney. Messrs Richardson and Co.’s Kahiu -left Napier at 7 a.m. on Saturday morning and arrived in the Bay about 4.30 about an hour, she was unable to come p.m. Owing to missing the tide by up to the wharf until 2 a.m. yesterday. She brought a large quantity of general cargo for this port, also two racehorses, f 'The work of discharging -was to be commenced at 6 a.m. to-day, and on completion the vessel sails for Wellington. Tire U.S.S. Co.’s Waikare arrived from Auckland yesterday afternoon and sailed south in the evening. The work of transferring the outward passengers in the evening was attended with a good deal of inconvenience owing to heavy southerly weather. The U.S.fi. Co.’s Squall left Auckland on Saturday afternoon lor Tologa Bay and Gisborne. She is expected here early this morning. Upon arrival at Wellington from Sydney, the Huddart-Parker Co.’s Riverina will he replaced by the Uhmaroa, which lias been undergoing repairs after • Tier accident at Dunedin. The Uiimaroa will then take up her usual running from Dunedin to Melbourne, via Bluff. The Sliavv, Savill and Albion Co.’s Kia Ora is due to, load at Gisborne next Monday week. • ® The Tyser C’o.’s Niwaru i« expected to return here to-morrow to complete her loading. Messrs William Doxford and Sons, Limited, have launched from their yard at P alii on, Sunderland, the steamer Kurow, built to the order-of the Union Steamship Company of New Zealand, Limited. The vessel is 31 oft long, 14 Jl t broad, with a moulded doplh of 2-3 ft, and is classed with the British Corporation Registry. ’ ■'The Shaw, Savill and Albion steamer Kia Ora. which left Wellington last Thursday for Lyttelton, proceeds thence to Dunedin. The vessel will then load at Lyttelton, Gisborne. Napier, and Wellington. * The Kia Ora is expected to leave Wellington during the first week in May, for London.
