News from New Hebrides states'that the recent cyclone came across Malekula -and passed between Epi and: Yate' islands. Ambryn, Pentecost, and Santo practically escaped.

Fears arc entertained fer the safety of the recruiting ketches Normandie and Dick Englet. Wreckage from the latter has been found.

The plantations in many places have boon ruined.

Four luggers and 25 Japanese and Malays were lost in the recent cyclone at Onslow.
