Mr. Carson, in a letter to the press, stated that he discussed, the liquor question at considerable length with the Rev. 'F, \V. Isitt, secretary of the New Zealand Alliance, while the only person connected with tho liquor trade- he interviewed was Mr. Williams, societaly ,of th-o Licensed 'Victuallers.
