INSOL V ENTS’ STATEM EN TS

Messrs. Wright and Kerr, coach proprietors of Wbatatutu, have filed a statement of the cause of their insolvency. They state they started business with £240, which was spent on one coach, five horses and harness. The whole of the plant was mortgaged for £4OO to buy T. Cassidy’s coach, which cost £3OO, and the balance of the money was spent in additional plant. The mortagees w 4 ore C. Neenaii, L. B. Tullock and J. 11. Quinn. They were unable to meet their bill on March Ist. and the mortagees closed down, and the business only realised £3OO. Had they been allowed to carry oil business they would have done tlieir best to carry out tlieir obligations, but they were pushed by creditors and forced to file. The remaining assets were £74 9s book debts, and £4 worth of furniture. The liabilities were. £239 10s 9d.
