NEW YORK, April *2O. Several suggestions have been made that the wheat duty in America should he abolished. The Tariff Bill proposes to increase it to 30 cents per bushel. Patten replies that such abolition would he without effect, because the world s markets 'are now' o.n parity, and America will require to import corn, oats, and live stock Wolf long. He »p that the Hon. J. B. Wilson's estimate the quantity of "heat on farms » sjjQ per cent, too high.
