Co.’s Flora arrived from "South early yesterday morning. _aml proceeded to coast ports and Auckland at 11 o’clock. I'he Maoriland S.S, Co.’s Hohndale It;ft yesterday morning' for Westport. The schooner Awanui arrived on Wednesday night from Auckland, and was berthed yesterday morning. The vessel left the northern port on Good Friday night, but meeting a N.E. gale she put back the ' following Sunday morning. Another start was made on Tuesday morning, but next day a gale from the N.E. was again encountered, ami the l vessel sheltered in Tryphena Buy until Saturday morning. She arrived off East Cape on Sunday night, when n S.E. gale came up, and she dodged back round Cape Runaway. A 'fair breeze brought the schooner down the coast. The cargo is as follows: 100 kegs gunpowder, 25 kegs dynamite, 10,000 ft timber- for Tcioga Bay, 20,000 feet timber for Gisborne ShecpTarniers’ I-’.M. Co., 2000 ft timber for E. Good, 1.0 tons coal for Black and Brocklebank. lo tons coal for Evan*, Nield and Co.. 5 tons coal for McKee: gue, 5 tons coal for Nisbett, 20 tons pipes for Robb Brothers, and 4 tons'furniture for J. Gardiner. When off- East Cape on ‘Tuesday morning the Awanui passed the scow- Wakonini, which was heading eonth. The Tyser Co.’s Nrsaru was expected to arrive late lust night or early this morning to complete her loading at this port. Messrs Wkkams and Kettle ore the agents. The U.S.'S. Co/s Mahono arrives from South to-morrow m-cxning, and proceeds to Auckland and Sydney. vast year Wm. Johnson and Co., Ltd.. shipped 20,102 cattle by their stc-amers at Baltimore for Liverpool, and lost only 14, an average loss-of .06 of T ner cent.
