The report prepared by Police-Magis-trate Ranking upon the Now Zealand licensing -laws has been submitted to the •Chief Secretary. The contents have not been divulged, but it is understood to be adverse to the New Zealand prohibition laws. The work of drafting a 'Licensing Bill for submission to next session or Parliament is progressing.
