I have for the past two years served you to the best of my ability, and think that the experience thus gained, and the fact that being now free from active bueiriss, Would enable me to faithfully carry out the necessary duties during the coming term. • DRAINAGE is, I think, a matter of urgent necessity, and in the interest of Public Health and the fair fame of our town, MUST NOT BE DELAYED. I approve of and hope that the schemes now to be submitted td experts will result in such recommendations as will enable tho Council at an early date to place Loan proposals before you for a Sound, Economical, and Efficient Drainage System. I am in favor of Permanent Street Improvements, Extended Recreation Reserves, Improved Lighting, and all Sound, Progressive Movements.
