MORERE SCHOOL.
ELECTION OF COMMITTEE. The annual meeting of householders residing in the school district of Morere was held in the Morere Schoolliouse on Monday evening, 26th April. Mr. W. McKain was elected to the chair. The annual report and statement of accounts of the outgoing committee were read and approved. The balancesheet showed a credit balance of £9 7s lid. The following householders were elected a committee for the ensuing year: Messrs W. McKain, A. G. Smith, J. Austin, N. Mclntyre; and J. Reynolds. At a meeting of the new committee, held the same evening, Mr. J. Reynolds was elected chairman, secretary, and treasurer. It was decided to have the boundary fence of the school ground repaired. On the motion of Mr. Mclntyre, seconded by Mr. Austin, the secretary-was requested to . apply- to the superintendent of'the Tourist Department, Wellington, for half cost of repairing the boundary fence adoiining the Thermal Springs Reserve.
