BRIGHT . . PROSPECTS. “AH Nature Dies ancl Lives Aaain.” Dame Nature is fast turning the foliage of the deciduous trees to their Autumnal tints, and soon they will have assumed their eombre-hued winter appearance. But while plant life seems to he dying and dreary winter at hand, the prospect is made brighter by the anticipation of the enjoyment to be found in indoor amusements during the long evenings. Hundreds of warmhearted. hospitable hostesses are now planning one kind or another of social parties, where both young and old will find enjoyment. It may be an evening for Parlour Games. A Musical Evening. To the literary inclined an evening with; favourite Authors. A Semi-dance Party. In the case of the more wealthy citizens large Balls and Dinner Parties.. But whether it be the small parties or the large, human nature is just the same, and we will not be betraying! secrets when we say that before another week hundreds' of fair ladies will be posing before the looking-glass, donning, with becoming deliberation, many- of the attractive lines we are advertising today for evening wear.
