WELLINGTON, April 30. The annual report of the New -.Zealand Rugby Union, to be presented at the annual meeting, states that the bal-ance-sheet discloses ia loss of £165 12s 6d on the working expenditure. This: together with the fact that the previous year showed a doss of ■ £795, demands the serious attention of delegates. The sum of £2oo'was expended for encouragement of school football, and tlii eo meetings of delegates the expenditure of £1.75. The North v. South match .resulted in a profit of £2B, .and there is a credit of £670 m connection 'with the visit of the Butish team. The following (amounts are in loan to affiliated union: Auckland £BOO, • Hawke’s Bay £lolo, Otago £SOO, Southland £llsO, Taranaki £3oO, W anganui £625, Wellington £4OOO. .The management places on record its regret at the death of Mr. Robert Deans, who earned a "high reputation" as a re.prosentative .footballer.
KAITI-CITY juniors
The first meeting of the Ivaiti-City juniors and: thirds was': held at the Royal Hotel last evening, when the following officers were" elected: Captain, T. Bristow-; vice-captain, E. Roach; selection committee, the captain, vicecaptain, and Mr. Lloyd; secretory, Roach ; general committee, C. I ollocK, T, Bristow, and O. Morell. A large number of new members were elected.
