GOOD FLIGHT BY BRITISH OFFICER. THE' WRIGHTS IN LONDON. United Press Association'—Copyright LONDON, May o. J. W. Dunn, captain of the Royal Engineers, the inventor of the aeroplane being mysteriously tested in the Scottish hilh, in one flight covered - twelve miles. This is the reason why the War Office did not approach the Wrights earlier. The Wrights on Monday visited Mr Haldane, and yesterday inspected six of their aeroplanes which are being constructed at the Aero Club’s grounds, on the island of- Shippey. (Received May 6, 9.15 p.m.) LONDON, May 6. The Government lias appointed a committee under Lord Rayleigh to advise the Admiralty and War Office upon tlio construction of balloons and aeroplanes. The committee is provided with funds for experiments.
