James Hemingway, who was committed for trial for the General PostOffice robbery, was to-day charged with stealing stamps of the total value or £856 From the Government Printing Office, and also with stealing fountain pens to the value of £l4O from. Whitcombe and Tombs, the prosecution being the result of research of the linger Print Department. Accused, according to Mr Wi ford, his counsel, admits his guilt. He was committed to the Supreme Court for trial. rSpeaking of Hemingway when he first appeared in Court the “Free Lance” says he is just one of the last men you would expect to see m a prisoners’ dock.
