OTAGO CONSUMPTIVE SANATORIUM.
SITE OF 80 ACRES SECURED

DUNEDIN, May 11.. Tire Hospital) and Charitable Aid Board has secured a site of 80 acres, two miles south of Palmerston, for a consumptive sanatorium. The cost is about £IOOO, and there are buildings on the ground which will fit into the plans of a; complete building. Sufficient accommodation will be provided to fill Southland requirements as well; as Otago. It is ah*) intended to provide for paying patients with separate accommodation. It is hoped to make the institution self-supporting from, the revenue paying patients, keeping cows Speaking to a- reporter to-day the Chairman, Mr. *G. said ro was intended, if -nossible, to secure a similar country site for a benevolent institution where the motfe robust inmates could do a little farm work and where all -would be removed from the temptations and surroundings of city life. ■ >■
