The TJ.S.S. Co.’s Waikare arrived from South yesterday morning, and jailed in the afternoon for Auckland. The TJ.S.S. Co.’s iuaueno, from Syd- ' ney and Auckland, arrived yesterday afternoon, and sailed in the evening i for Southern ports. * The U.S.S. Co.’s Squall was at Tologa Bay yesterday, sheltering from the i strong south-westerly gale blowing. She ' will come on in the morning, it is hoped in time to get berthed on the full \ tide. . Loading operations were being carv xied out yesterday on board the Shaw | Savill Co.’s Waiwera in the bay. It is i expected that she will be completed toil morrow and sail for Oamaru, taking approximately 15,000 carcases of mutton, 220 casks of tallow and pelts, and •I 100 bales of wool. The ketch Coronation is still in port awaiting favorable weather to sail for j Tologa Bay and Auckland. The auxiliary schooner Kaeo was IJ working at Tologa Bay yesterday. She i« is due here shortly. M The Tyser liner Mimiro is due here on J Monday week to load frozen meat for if London. I The three-masted scow Hawk, which H has beer* engaged in the West Coast 1 timber trade for some time past, is to i -re-enter the East Coast running. The British ship Australian is now : 168 days out from Mazatlan, which port left for Sydney on November 25th jj last. Hope of seeing her again was practically abandoned last month, lhe Australian was a vessel of 1955 tons, and was commanded by Captain Hunicr. Tffie barque Solgran (336 tons), now ! •!Jon the voyage from Newcastle to AuckII land with a cargo of coal, has been j -chartered to load timber at Mercuiy 11; Bay for Sydney. A waterspout was witnessed by those oil board the New Zealand Shipping Ili Company’s steamer Rimuta'ka, as the \ '■] vessel w r as approaching New Zealand j i last week.
