Mr Lesnia, a momber of the Assembly, lias returned from a visit to New Zealand. Interviewed, he declared the New Zealand liquor laws encouraged sly grog selling and drunkenness; they were increasing perjury and corruption also in a remarkable way. Lunacy had developed to an alarming extent. There was a general disrespect of the law itself. The introduction of liquor into “dry”'districts was steadily increasing. Blackmail, terrorism, and boycott wore flourishing.
