Liberal newspapers declare that Lord Charles Beresford, Admiral Custance, and some other officers are_sceptical about the value of Dreadnoughts, and are anxious that vessels of a proDreadnought type should be distributed in the best possible manner and equipped for instant readiness for war. BERLIN, May 11. Twelve German Dreadnought docks have been built or are building, including nine in the North Sea. A TRAWLER RESERVE. The Admiralty will reserve a hundred steam trawlers, chiefly from Grimsby and Aberdeen, to sweep up floating submarines during marine war time. The skippers aro to revive a retaining tfee, and a thousand sailors will be trained for a week annually.
