PASSED BY THE AUDIT OFFICE. (Per Press Association.) CHRISTCHURCH, Alay 13 The Prime Alinister informed a representative of the “Press” this evening that he had pleasure in stating that tho whole of the public account for the financial year 1908-9 had been passed by the Audit Department, and were to he returned to the Alinister of Finance this evening. He added that again, as was the case last year, and the year before, they were being returned without any comment of any sort /lid with no “tags.” It was very gratifying to know that the whole of ilie year’s extensive operations had passed "the ordeal of the Controller and Auditor-General’s office, and had been found without blemish.
