LONDON, May 14
The executors of Charles Dickins, of Dickins, Jones and Drawers, have been awarded £10,345 damages against Arthur Ellis, a Bond Street dealer, owing to the latter f s fraudulent misrepresentations in connection with the sales of china. Mr. Dickins, an octogenarian, spent £130,000 upon Sevres and Dresden china. After his death it was discovered that his specimens were largely forgeries. In one case ho paid Ellis £I2OO for a piece worth £lO. Justice Grantham hinted that a criminal prosecution against Ellis would follow. A civil acton against another dealer is pending.
