100 EMPLOYEES DISMISSED.
STRIKE WILL COLLAPSE. United Press Association—Copyright PARIS, May 13. One hundred postal employes wore dismissed in Paris to-day. M. Clemencean is confident that the movement will collapse. THIE DEBATE IN THE CHAMBER. A SCENE OF GREAT DISORDER, (Received May 14, 11.45 p.m.) PARIS, May 14. During the postal debate in the Chamber the Socialists started singing the revolutionary air “Internationale.” Great uproar ensued. The Republicans raised the and tho Royalists started singing “La Yendemo.” The President (M. Brissou) adjourned at 4 p.m. Otherwise the debate was uneventful. THE STRIKE EXTENDING. A VOTE OF CONFIDENCE IN THE GOVERNMENT CARRIED. M. Barthou (Minister of Public Works) stated that 2357 out of 2415 postal employees are now striking. M. Glemenceau (the Premier) called on the Chamber to choose between the regime of the Republicans with legality, and the disorganisation of the Republic.
A vote of confidence in the Government was carried by §65 votes to 159.
