AL LF.GED SHAMEFUL TREATMENT OF STOCK.

AUCKLAND, May 15. At yesterday afternoon’s meeting or the Auckland ‘ Agricultural Association a letter was read from Air William laylor, of Te Awamutu, stating that lie had disposed of his famous Green Hill stud because of what he described as the “shameful treatment of his stock, bv the Railway Department going and coming from the Cambridge show. On that occasion his stock were m the truck 23 hours, and it took that tune to travel a distance of 54 miles. B>mne of the horses were so badl.v injured that thev could not- go into the show ring, and several had not at the time ol nn - inor recovered from tlmir injuries.
