LONDON, May 19

The House of Commons, by 175 to 90, refused Mr. H. Craig, Liberal member for Tynemouth, permission to introduce a Bill providing for the adequate inspection of monastic and ventual institutions n the United K r.gdom. Mr. T. O’Connor strenuously opposed the motion. The Speaker refused to allow, Mr. Ivoir Hardie to move the adjournment of the House to consider the question of deportations from India. Mr. Asquith emphasised that the subject had been fully discussed in the debate on the Address-in-Reply.
