The following is the Rev. D. C. Bates’ general weather forecast: —Unsettled and cloudy weather probable for several days, the present gloomy and humid conditions heralding a disturbance from the north, with heavy rain, in parts, and the Antarctic disturbance now crossing Tasmania will shortly follow in its wake, the former principally affecting the North Island and the latter the south. The immediate prospect is for strong northerly winds, with mild temperature and rain north of New Plymouth and Napier, and for southeasterly winds elsewhere, probably with rain and fog. , _____
