A SUCCESSFUL SALE
The value of land in the rising suburb of Kaiti was evidenced at the public auction on Saturday, when Alessrs iliiams and Kettle) offered a number of sections on the block surrounded by Harris Street, Rawiri Street, Hirini Street, and Rutene Road, on account of the executors in tho estate of the. late John A. Harding. Air. G. R. AVyllie auctioneered, arid there was a large attendance of buyers and keen competition prevailed. Seven sections were offered, and all found buyers under the hammer. The following were the prices obtained: Lot 4.—Section on the corner of Rawiri and Harris Streets, having a frontage of 200 links to Rawiri Street and 125 links to Harris Street, £363, J. Shaw. Lot I—Corner Rutene Road anci Harris Street, having a frontage of 200 links to Rutene Road and 125 links to Harris Street, £359, J. Shaw. Lot 6—Corner of Rutene Road and Hirini Street, having same frontage as Lot 1, £373, J. Shaw. , . Lot s—Rutene Road, containing an orchard and having a frontage of_ 100 links and being 250 links deep, £293, A. AV. J. Mann. Lot 7. —’Hirini Street, having frontage of 125 links and being 200 links deep, £315, W. Adair. Lot B.—Corner of Rutene Road and Harris Street, having frontage to Harris Street of 90 links and to Rutene Road of 244.2 links, £270, J. Shaw. Several sections on Kaiti were also offered on behalf of Mr. F. Hall. One lot at the corner of Harris Street ana Tukura Road, containing 4 acres, was passed in at £2060, and a three-acre lot in Rutene Road was passed m at £I7OO. A section containing lr l ko, in AVaimii road, was sold to Air. 1. G. Lawless for £371. Alessrs AVililams and Kettle afterwards disposed of the section m the Harding estate, that was passed in, to Air. E. AV. Langford, for £320.
