Messrs Richardson and Son’s Weka arrived in the Bay from Napier on Sunday night with a general cargo, including 2500 ft of timber. She was due to leave early thus morning for Napier, da Mahia. The Tyser liner Mimiro arrived from Wellington yesterday morning to load frozen meat, etc., for London. The U.S.S. Co.’s Flora, from Coast ports and Auckland, arrived in the Bay last night- She has a large quantity of wool for transhipment to the s.s. Mimiro, after which she proceeds to Napier, Wellington, and Picton. Messrs Clayton Bros, received a wire on Saturday from Captain Pankow, of the" ketch Coronation, stating that he had arrived in Auckland after a good trip. The U.S.S. Co.’s Wairuna was to have left Timaru yesterday for Napier, Gisborne, and Auckland. The U.S.S. Co.’s Kaituna, from Newcastle, via Wellington and Napier, is expected to arrive here to-morrow morning with 530 tons coal. Upon completion of discharging operations, she proceeds to Westport in ballast. The U.S.S. Co.’s Squall from Tologa Bay and Auckland was expected to arrive in late last night or early this morning, and to come up to the wharf on the Tide this morning. She returns to Wliangarei this evening with a full load of sheep. The U.S.S.' Co.'s Waikare is due from south to-morrow morning and to sail later for Auckland. The U.S.S. Co.’s Talune returns from Auckland to-morrow afternoon, and sails south in the evening. On Friday morning the HuddartParker Co.’s collier Moorabool arrived at Lyttelton from Newcastle, via Wellington. The vessel, which brought 1000 tons of Abermain coal for Tlios. Brown Ltd., will discharge about 1000 tons at Lyttelton, and will then sail for Timaru and Dunedin to complete discharging: It is possible that the vessel may load produce on the New Zealand coast before returning to Australia. The Moorabool is an exceptionally line collier, and is fitted with all the necessary appliances for the rapid handling of coal. It is stated that the vessel lias discharged 4000 tons of coal in 35 hours m an Australian port. Unlike, the passenger vessels of the Huddart-Parker fleet, winch have vellow funnels, the Moorabool has an '“all-black” funnel. The present caigo of the Mooraboool is said to bo the first of regular shipments which J}° brought from Newcastle by Huddait Parker colliers. V (mod steaming performance was put up bv the s.s.
