The pickets have been withdrawn, and the men returned to work this morning. ' The combined unions gave Tom Mann a week’s notice of the termination oi -jjgis engagement as organiser. _ ‘ Tom Mann, speaking at a meeting, commenced dramatically by saymg that after a triumphant entry into Jerusalem then came the crucifixion. A fortnight back be entered Broken Hill, carried shoulder high. Now they wanted to crucify him. But he would not be •driven out of Australia. He would not be kicked about or insulted.
