Co.’s Squall arrived yesterday morning from Auckland, Via Tologa Bay, with 170 tons of general cargo, including 10,000 ft of timber, 60 tons of salt, 10 tons of iron, 120 bags sugar, 120 sacks coal, also 130 packages of transhipments ex Aparima. The -Squall left Auckland on Saturday afternoon gnd reached Tologa at 12.30 yesterday morning. A heavy northerly swell was experienced on the run down. Tologa was successfully worked, and sho left at 4 o’clock, arriving in the roadstead at 8.30 yesterday morning, and berthing at the wharf at 10 with the full tide. The U.S.S. Co.’s Waikare will arrive from Napier and south early this morning. The steamer will be tendered by the Tuatea at 6 a.m., and with outward passengers at 9.30 a.m. The U.S.S. Co.’s Taiune will arrive from Auckland this afternoon, and after landing and embarking passengers, will proceed south. The Tuatea will tender the steamer on arrival and again at 7 p.m. The Westport Coal Co.’s steamer Regulus is duo to arrive on Friday, and will probably leave. Gisborne for tlio south on Saturday. The U.S.S. Co.’s produce carrying steamer Kaituna has been delayed in Napier, but is expected to arrive at Gisborne to-morrow. On April 24 the well-known barques Louisa Craig and Rona left Auckland, both in ballast, for Newcastle. The Louisa Craig made the passage to Newcastle in ten days, arriving there on May 4. The Rona has, however, not yet reached Newcastle, but while she is overdue, it is as yet somewhat early to express any great uneasiness as to her safety, although other sailers which left New Zealand some days later than the Rona have arrived at their destinations on the. “other side.” The Rona, which was formerly known as the Polly Woodside, is owned by Messrs A. H. Turnbull and Co., of Christchurch, and is commanded by Captain Broadhouse, -who is accompanied by his wife and little boy. r . Messrs Nelson Bros.’ tug Tuna lost a propeller yesterday morning in the river, and was placed on the mudbank near tlio Kaiti bridge about noon, and a new propeller put on. The following passengers have booked to leave by the Waikare this morning: Tor Auckland: Misses Parker _ (2), Deere, and Watson; Mesdames Woods, Gaskin, Cooper, Broderick, and Wdliamson; Madame Casier; Messrs L.
