Mr Justice Hodges, in entering judgment for defendant in the Ronald versus Harper case, caustically criticised the Presbyterian Assembly over the Rev. Mr. Murdoch’s refusal to produce documents. He would, he said, send every member of the Presbyter} to gaol under the same circumstances. It was unfortunate that one man should have been made a scapegoat.
