MAGISTERIAL.
TUESDAY, MAY 25. (Before Mr W. A. Barton, S.M.) DRUNKENNESS. Alexander Hirskberg pleaded guilty to a charge of celebrating Empire Day with a copious supply of liquor, and as lie admitted two previous convictions within six months; he was fined £3 with costs 2s in default seven days’ imprisonment. His Worship also issued a prohibition order against the man and warned him that if he again came before the Court be would be sent to gaol without the option of a fine. INFECTED SHEEP. Inspector Ross, of the Stock Department, proceeded against J. C. N. Thomas, of Kaiti, for exposing lice-infect-ed sheep for sale at Matawhero on Way 13th last. The defendant pleaded guilty, and said the sheep had all been dipped, and he could not account for the way they became infected. His Worship said the defendant was liable for the condition of the sheep, and bo would be fined £2 with costs ,7s. CLAIM FOR MAINTENANCE. The ease of Mary Godfrey versus John Godfrey, claim for arrears of maintenance, was adjourned for fine week.
