CABINET APPROPRIATIONS

WELLINGTON, May 26. The Cabinet to-day passed the following appropriations:—Purchase or sleepers £1625, Stratford-Ongarua railway £ll,lOO, Reefton-Inangahua railway £ISOO, Coal Creek railway extension £SOOO, Midland railway Otira and formation £IO,OOO, Midland railway £3OOO, Catl i ns-W aimahaka railway £4500, Rivcrsdale-Switzer railway £lO,000, Orepuki-Wiaiau railway £IBOO, Kawakawa-Grahamstown radway £4ooo, Helensville North railway £9282, Hoki-tika-Ross railway £482, AVestport-Ina-ngahau railway £ISOO, _ CanterburyMarlborough railway £250. Tenders were accepted for the erection of -a courthouse at Fairlie (£500), post office at Wakefield (£800), additions to Napier post office (£800), Wyndham post office £1000), and Lincoln police station (£700). ' Tenders are ter be invited for the following works: General oost office, Wellington; courthouse, Gisborne; police station, Shannon.
