IMPORTATION OF DOMESTIC SERVANTS.

AUCKLAND, May 27. Speaking at a meeting of the Trades find Labor Council last night, Air. A. Rosser said he understood at next session a strong effort would be made to induce the Government to bring out domestic servants to New Zealand from tius Alother Country. Ho strongly advised the Council to protest against this. Let the wealthy classes, if they wanted luxuries, pay for them. He did not see why the country should be asked to pay. Ho moved that- a strong piotost be made against granting further assistance towards bringing out domestic servants to New Zealand. Iho motion was seconded and carried.
