ANNUAL MEETING OF SHAREHOLDERS.

NAPIER, Alay 27. The annual meeting of the shareholders of Alessrs AVilliams and Kettle, Ltd., was held to-day. The report and balance-sheet were adopted., The report contained the following: “The directors have pleasure in submitting herewith acccounts of the company—viz., balance-sheet and profit and loss account for the year ending March 31st, 1909, duly audited, and have to congratulate the shareholders on the satisfactory result of the past year's working. The net profits for. the year after providing for all necessary depreciations and bad debts, amount to £8952 Is 7d, to which has to be added the. individual balance from last year, ‘-;4550 19s lOd. The total available, for allocation is £13,503 Is sd. The directors recommend that this shall be appropriated as follows: In .payment of dividend at the rate of 7s per cent, and 1 per cent, bonus on capital, bonus of IJ per cent, on all goods purchased by shareholders, and 10 per cent, on commissions contributed by shareholders; also £IOOO to be placed to reserve, and the balance carried forward. Notwithstanding the stringency ill the money market, which has been, felt throughout the Dominion during the past year, the business of the company lyis been well maintained. During the year 2955 now shares have boon taken U P-” The retiring directors, Messrs J. H: Coleman, AA r . Nelson, arid F. A\ r . AVilliams, were re-electect.-The sum of £550 was voted for bon- . uses to the staff.
