The Huddart-Parker W/ arrived from south on Saturday morning and sailed later for Auckland and Sydney. The Westport Coal Co.’s Regulu arrived from Westport early on Saturday morning with. 000 tons of coal for the local branoh of the company. Owing to the state of the channel it was decided to lighter 200 tons of her cargo, and even then she stuck fast a couple of times in the river, drawing Oft 10in. She succeeded in getting off each time, hut was unable to get close fio the wharf at the s.s. Squall’s berth, and remained fast and unmovable several feet outside the wharf. Co.’s Waikare returned from Auckland yesterday afternoon, and sailed later in the evening for southern ports. The U.S.S.
