The Tuatea leaves the wharf on arrival and at 7 p.m. The Westport Coal Co.’s Regains was not able to got close to the wharf, but discharging operations were carried out successfully under difficulties, one stern hatch having to be lightered. She left yesterday afternoon for Westport. , The Shaw, Savi.ll and Albion Co. s Tainui has been delayed in the south, and is not duo to arrive at Gisborne until Monday next. The U.S.S. Co.’s, agents for the Cand A. Line, report having booked the following passengers from Gisborne (connecting at Suva for Vancouver) by tho s.s. Aorangi, leaving Sydney on June 7th: Messrs E. Mr. H Braun was also hooked for San Francisco, having left Wellington on the 27th May by the Manapouri for Papeete, Tahiti, transhipping there to the Oceanic Steamship Co.’s Mariposa for San Francisco. This is the first Gisborne passenger who has been booked by that route. . The U.S.S. Co.’s Wairnna, loading produce, is expected to load at Bluff on June 7, at Oamaru on June 9, and Timaru on June 10. She should arrive at Gisborne about June 14. The Maoriland S.S. Co. s Holmdale arrived from Greymouth early yesterday morning. She returns on discharge to Lyttelton, where she will go into dock. Her cargo for hero was as follows: 44 tons of coal for Robb Bros.. 48,500 ft timber for Evans, Nield and Co., and 2336 ft pine timber and 309 sleepers for the Public Works Department. . , The U.S.S. Co.’s Squall arrived yesterday from Auckland and Tologa. She came up the river at 2 o’clock wr;h the fall tide. Captain Ross reports a good trip down the coast. 'Leaving Auckland at 5.30 on Saturday evening, she arrived at Tologa- yesterday morning at 4 o’clock, and left again at 8 a.m. loi o’clock, and left again at S a.m. for Gisborne. She brought 200 tons of general cargo, which is made up as follows: 195 cases kerosene, 115 bags flour, 96 sacks flour, 520 bags sugar, 50 sacks lime, 70 sacks cement, 22 ingots tin, 90 bags coal, 40 cases acid, 26 tons of transhipments ex s.s. Aotea, and 04 tons ex the s.s. Indradevi. The Squal. will leave for Auckland to-day. The U.S.S. Co.’s Maitai will probably arrive from south to-morxow evening, and leave later for Auckland. The. U.S.S. Co.’s Flora left Picton yesterday for Wellington, Napier, and Gisborne, and is -due here about - Thursday, leaving later for East Coast --- ports and Auckland.
