WELLINGTON, May 31. The Government steamer Tutanekai will in future do only cable repairing work. She will lie in Weilingtn harbor with a skeleton crew, Ayhich will be recruited lor repairing expeditions as may be required.
AMALGAMATION OF GOVERNMENT PUBLICATIONS.
Another economy decided upon is the amalgamation of several Government publications, including the Mines Record, the Insurance Record, and the Agricultural Department’s periodicals. It is stated that Mr. G. Bisset, now editor of the Agricultural publications, will have charge of the new and more comprehensive journal, and that Mr. P. Galvin, now editor of the Mines Record, will retire.
