' An old man in Wanganui went down to tho river thcothcr night to fish by moonlight. He felt a tug at his coattails, and, turning round, saw a hoy, attired in a white sheet, who contorted rhis face and emulated the. mooning ot a cow. The moonlight was too bright for the “ghost,” and'the old man oasMy recognised the boy, whom he brought to Court on a charge, of assault. Other hoys who had watched the progress of tho joke, swore that no assault had been committed, and tho case was dismissed, but the magistrate .warned tlio defendant that similar experiments had resulted hi liie-long injury. Ho strongly advised the boy not
to play such jokes again. FOR Coughs, Hoarseness, Influenza, and Bronchitis, wonderful relief is afforded by taking “Dr. Nield’s Balm Cough Mixture,” and sufferers would do well to give it a trial.
