GERMAN AUTHORITIES REQUEST THEIR RETURN. CAPTAIN UNWILLING TO RELEASE MEN. United Press Association— Copyright BRISBANE, Juno 1. The ketch Envy recently brought among her crew five Tobi Islanders, whoso return is required by the German New Guinea,authorities. So far Captain Strachan, of the ketch, has refused to give them up. The German Government yacht Seestcrn is now waiting here for the natives. Tho captain of the Envy.wired to the Federal Government: “Will the Government permit the Germans to prevent me taking the men to Britain to plead their cause before the Imperial Government?”
Tho Federal Minister replied: “The Government sees no other course but for the men to return to Tobi. No assistance will be given to delay the return of tho men to their homes.”
