THE FLOURMILLERS’ ASSOCIATION.
A NEW DEVELOPMENT

CHRISTCHURCH. June 3. In an iutervieiv yesterday, the chairman of the Flourmillers’ Association, Mr H. Wood, stated that no developments had occurred in connection with organisation. The matters now in hand would require some time to adjust themselves, and until that had been accomplished the position would remain unchanged. In reference to a statement by a local corn dealer that the Association was shipping away bran and sharps at 5s less per ton than the price charged locally, Mr. Wood explained that the extra amount Avas due to the fact that the trade locally demanded such, by-products in sacks goin,r 20 to the ton. The outside trade was satisfied AVith sacks going 12 to the ton, and the difference in price Avas due to that alone.
